My Wellness Journey Ep. 1

The past year has been difficult for everyone. I find that it is in my lowest and most difficult moments that is when I learn the greatest lessons. Between the stress of dealing with the pandemic, work stress of rotating regulations and rules, the stress of raising children, and the compounding stress of underlying generalized anxiety, I was feeling overwhelmed. The chaos was creeping in. I started meditating to try and keep myself balanced.


Between March and August 2020 Meditation was my coping strategy. I had a dedicated daily sitting practice. I listened to Darhma talks and read books on Buddha's teachings to improve my practice. In our fast paced, stress ridden world meditation was bringing peace to the chaos. In September 2020 the balance started to tip, my body was having a difficulty with producing all the adrenaline and cortisol to keep up and chaos started to take over.
