The Road to a Better Me
The journey to wellness is not an easy road to travel. It is bumpy and messy but it is in between where the lessons are learned. I would like to share my journey into wellness with you. It is not an easy story for me to share but if the lessons I have learned along the way can help another person then I owe you, the reader, that much. The journey is not over. As Buddha teaches us, "Life is a journey and wisdom is the North Star". So please join me if you will, maybe you will learn something new.

I started 6 months postpartum: exhausted, not working out, aching lower back and a body that basically hated me. No matter how long i slept, i woke up so tired and counted down the hours until i could crawl back in bed. My libido was non-existent, even being married to the man of my dreams. i seriously thought i was broken.

2 years ago I was about to turn 44 years old and my body was letting me know how old I was getting. Most days, it felt like every joint in my body was inflamed. I remember looking at my coworker one day and saying, "My God, even my fingertips ache." It was so bad that the end of the day, I could barely walk and would have to let other people go up the stairs to the locker room ahead of me so I wouldn't slow them down. Weighing in at 297 pounds thanks to 1½ years of daily high dose prednisone usage didn't help either.
I was thinking, "I have another 20-25 years of working and my body is already breaking down." I don't have a college degree. Office work is not the horizon for me. I'll be walking on concrete floors until I retire...if I make it that long.
January 2019, I ordered a bottle of The Gel from a friend of mine after a recommendation from my chiropractor. It showed up on a Thursday afternoon and I used it before bed that night. I slept like a teenager on spring break. I woke up with energy. Within that first month, I was able to walk up those stairs no problem. I can run up them now.
